Types Of Excel Charts

Excel charts and graphs are the ideal tool to use in consolidating information and statistics in an easy to understand manner. This makes Excel charts great to use for reporting as well as for presentations in your company. You can simply enter information into an Excel spreadsheet or export data from an external source and then covert the information to be displayed as a chart or graph. There are a wide number of Excel charts for you to choose from to suit your unique requirements.

The most popular and easy to understand are Excel pie charts. These charts are great for use when showing percentages and statistical analysis. Column Excel charts are also very popular and are mainly used to show one set of data in relation to another. For example, column charts can be used to show the growth of a company over a specific time period. Line charts are slightly more complicated and show the relation of two types of data for more than one line and line markers. Using the previous example, the line Excel chart will allow you to show the growth of a company in comparison with their competition over a period of time.
