When you open your Excel software program, you will see a tab on the task bar that allows you easy access to Excel formulas. Clicking on this tab will open the formulas task bar with a number of tools for you to use. While some of these tools are self explanatory, such as auto sum, the other tool descriptions may not make any sense to you. To gain a full understanding of how to use these tools correctly, you will probably require some form of Excel formulas training.

Excel formulas training will give you the information that you require on what the different tools on the taskbar mean as well as the appropriate use for each formula. It is very important to understand that Excel formulas training forms part of an advanced course and that you should master the other functions of Excel before enrolling on the course. There are other more basic courses as well as courses designed to address specific tasks that can be performed using Excel. It is always a good idea to complete one or more of these courses before trying to gain an understanding of Excel formulas training.

If you are a school leaver or are just looking to enhance your computer literacy and have no previous Excel experience, it is recommended to enrol on a full course including the Excel formulas training. The entire course lasts about 22 hours and can be taken over a period of 7 working days. You don’t have to enrol on the courses over 7 consecutive days and can take 1 course per day as and when you have the time available. Once you have completed your course as well as the Excel formulas training you should receive a certification from the relevant training provider.
