Date-Time Stamp Spreadsheet

A quick way to date and time stamp your spreadsheet is to make use of some more shortcuts using control. So for example, if I want to put a date in a cell, you’ll see that if I hold control down and push the semi- colon (;), you’ll see what happens. You’ll see it puts today’s date in. Now push enter and you’ll see because I formatted it in another way, it shows the date in that format. Similarly with the time if I hold the control and shift key and press semi colon, you’ll see it puts in the time today. Push “Enter”. When you look at the formula bar you’ll see that these aren’t  linked, they are actually stamped. They are values that you have actually entered and each time you want to change them you can use those shortcuts again.
