Excel 2007 Graphs
Chart Title
Let’s now look at
the Chart Title and what we can do with that.
If I right click on it and I go to Format Chart Title,
you’ll see for the most part, the options available are exactly
the same as the Chart
Area and a number of different areas in the chart – so we can
change the Fill, Solid, Gradient, etc. The
Border Colour, the Border Styles, Shadow, 3D Format.
The new option here
is something called Alignment. What this allows you to do, is to
align what way the Title must lie.
So depending on how big your Chart Title Area is, you can
choose what to appear on the top, middle, bottom, etc.
All these options exist. The text direction allows you to
change the direction of the text so at the moment we have got it
horizontal – that way. Let’s make it 90 degrees so you’ll see
you push it down that way. Maybe you would prefer it that way or
perhaps stacked like
that. We are back to horizontal and you’ll see we can actually do
a custom angle. So you
can see as I change these the graph is changing. Let’s go back to
zero. Depending
on what you have chosen as well, some of these might become
available so you can Autofit, change the margins, etc. So that’s
the only real new thing available under the Chart Title.
