LOADING ADD-INS

 Excel has some additional tools that can be activated automatically. In this clip well learn how to activate and deactivate these tools so that you can make use of them.

To find what tools are available to you

• you click on Tools
• ADD-INS
• and this menu will pop up showing you all the tools available,
• at the very least I recommend you click on the Analysis Toolpak
• and the Solver Add-In,
• once you click ok these tools will be added,
• you will now notice that when you click the Function Wizard there will be an number of new functions available to you
• and if you clicked on Tools there’ll be some additional options, particularly the Solver option,

In some cases when you try and load your ADD-INS, you might discover that Excel will ask you to please load your original disks. If you have the original Office disks, you need to put them in now, alternatively you need to speak to your IT department to give you access them so that these tools can be added to your Excel.
