CompTIA A+ certification validates the latest skills needed by computer support professionals. It is an international vendor-neutral certification recognized by major hardware and software vendor distributors and resellers.
Once you are a Certified CompTIA A+ Technician, you will be able to provide on-site technical support for network users in a variety of work environments, including professional offices and small businesses, workgroups or departments, and corporate information services (IS). CompTIA A+ is the world’s leading independent certification for IT professionals, with over 400 000 certified worldwide. Many of the world’s largest IT firms, including Unisys and IBM, use CompTIA A+ as their measure of IT support expertise.

CompTIA A+ Essential’s 220-601 series
Essentials course lays out the foundation for entry-level IT Professionals. This course is designed to prepare students for the CompTIA A+ Essentials. Upon completion of this course, students gain skills and knowledge necessary to perform tasks on computer hardware and operating systems, such as installing, building, upgrading, repairing, configuring, troubleshooting, optimizing, diagnosing and preventative maintenance with additional elements of soft skills and security.

This is the right course for applicants intending to work in environments where hardware-related activities are emphasized. Potential job roles include Depot Technician and Bench Technician
CompTIA A+ IT Technician 220-602 series
This is the right course for applicants intending to work in a mobile or corporate technical environment with a high level of face-to-face client interaction. Potential job roles include IT administrator, PC technician, and Field Service Technician, as well as non-technical jobs that require understanding of computer repair issues.
CompTIA A+ Remote Support Technician 220-603 series
This is the right course for applicants intending to work in a remote-based environment where client interaction, client training, operating system and connectivity issues are emphasized. Potential job roles include Remote Support Technician, Help Desk Technician and Call Centre Technician.
