We provide free online tutorials to build spreadsheet audit skills and also offer power courses to improve spreadsheet audit skills for accountants and auditors. The financial modelling course and the auditor online tutorials are suited specifically for people working in the accounting departments of companies.
One of the features that you will be able to learn through the tutorial to build spreadsheet audit skills is how to work with multiple windows in Excel. |
|
Working with multiple windows
If you have a large spreadsheet and want to view both the top and bottom of that spreadsheet at the same time, you can split the window. To do this, select the cell where you require a split to occur and then select Window on the menu bar. From the options select Split. If you select the row then the split will occur at that specific row. If you want the window to be split into four panes then just click on the specific cell and this will lead to a four pane split. If you want to undo the split simply select Window on the menu bar and then the Remove Split option.
View more than one worksheet at a time
If you need to compare worksheets it can be a little frustrating to have to click on the tabs to switch between them. To overcome the problem you can do the following:
- If you have two worksheets open select Windows on the menu bar.
- Select Arrange.
- Choose the way you want to arrange the windows for example: horizontal or vertical.
Several more features for auditors to handle information are dealt with through our online tutorial. Visit the tutorial to build spreadsheet audit skills.
