Manipulating data in Excel

EOMonth Data sets often contain dates as one of their fields. In order to summarize data you may want to have a common date attached to each record. You can achieve this by setting up a column with the date set to the last day of the referenced month using the EOMonth function.	FREE	EOMONTH (4 min)
Concatenate and & In certain cases you may want to combine two fields to create a third field e.g. combine a month and invoice number to create a unique identifier. The Concatenate and & functions can help you here.	FREE	Concatenate and & (3 min)
IF Depending on the contents of certain cells you may want to set up another field to show an alternate answer. The IF function allows you to show different results depending on certain criteria.	FREE	IF (2 min)
AND/ OR In some cases you may want to identify certain rows (or columns) that meet all, or some conditions. The AND and OR functions gives you the ability to have multiply conditions (without getting into multi nested IF functions).	FREE	AND & OR (5 min)
