Nevertheless, more about the Excel PMT, and how to use the function:

The Excel PMT function is accessed through the Excel function wizard, by clicking the fx button, and selecting the 'Financial' category from the category dropdown menu. In the dialog box that pops up on your screen, you have to enter the required Function arguments (various loan amounts) for the Excel PMT function:

The interest rate per period;

The total number of payments;

The loan amount on the current day;

The future balance or the cash value you would like to obtain after the last payment is made; and lastly

A logical value - 1 if a payment is made at the beginning of the period and for a payment at the end of a period, enter 0;

Upon entering all the information correctly into the Excel PMT formula, the program will give all the relevant information (payments) in the Cell you selected, to amortize your loan, fully.
