World Soccer Spreadsheets (PSL and English Premier League- see below)

The World Cup is done and Spain are the champions. Poor England. If only FIFA would use technology it could have been a different story.

In South Africa the PSL is about to kick off. Will Supersport do it again? Will the big boys make a comeback. Kaizer Chiefs for us! Download the PSL spreadsheet here.

For English Premier League fans who want to forget the World Cup and  focus on the Premier league, click here for a spreadsheet for the EPL 2010/ 2011 season . The completed  Word Cup Spreadsheet is still available below.

Try and predict the scores in our EPL or PSL spreadsheets. As the matches are finished you can update for the actual scores and then see what the knockout stages may look like. Might help with the planning for your ticket purchases (contact Monique for help) or perhaps you are betting on the league positions?

Feel free to download and tell others about the page. If you find any errors please contact us at info@AuditExcel.co.za . Come back often to get the updated versions. If you have any features you want to see included, email us at info@AuditExcel.co.za and tell us what you want.

This version will warn you if the scores you have chosen result in a dead heat in the group stages at which stage a coin toss (or in this case our calculation) decides the rankings. You may need to change some of your scores to get a more accurate ranking.

DOWNLOAD 2010 WORLD CUP MOBILE SPREADSHEET v 9 for mobile phones (works on both computers and mobiles)

This is a very new version to accommodate Excel Mobile which has less functions than the full version of Excel. It works on our HTC phones, but please tell us if it works on your version of Excel Mobile. If you are using the full version of Excel rather download version 6 at the top of this page.

VLOOKUP Information
VLOOKUP
Learn how to use the VLOOKUP function in Microsoft Excel. The VLOOKUP functions enables you to pull through various bits of information based on some reference point. So for the sporting spreadsheet once you know the order of the teams, you can pull through all the other relevant information e.g. wins, losses, draws, goals for and goals against.

Handling Large VLOOKUP tables
Once you have mastered VLOOKUP you may find that you use it for large datasets. The problem is that when you make changes to your spreadsheet you sometimes need to go through all the VLOOKUP cells and change the column reference. Learn how to avoid this!

Typical errors made when using VLOOKUP
