Alternate way to navigate sheets in excel

Depending on the size of your spreadsheet and in particular the number of sheets that may be included, you may be interested in an alternate way to navigate sheets in excel.

Most people are comfortable with clicking the arrows at the bottom left to move the sheets left and right to choose the required sheet. You can also right click on these sheet arrows to get a full list of the sheets in the spreadsheet (for Excel 2013 there is a slight change which you can find out about here ).

You can set up hyperlinks that jump between sheets and this gives you the added benefit of being able to set up a navigation sheet in the format you want.

Another way is to make use of the watch window. When you have a watch window setup, if you double click on the sheet name, it jumps to that sheet. So selecting one cell from each sheet for the watch window allows you to create a floating navigation toolbar.
