In the latest versions of Excel, you may notice that the option to share a workbook has been removed from its traditional place.

Locating the Missing Share Workbook Button
If you navigate to the Review tab as per the image below, you’ll find there’s only an Unshare option, not the familiar Share Workbook feature. Microsoft has updated Excel to discourage the use of this older sharing method in favour of newer collaboration tools. However, if you still want to use the legacy shared workbook feature, you can manually add it back to your Quick Access Toolbar.

Adding the Shared Workbook Legacy Option
To do this, locate your Quick Access Toolbar. It might be at the top or below the ribbon, depending on your settings. As shown below, right-click on any button in the toolbar and select Customize Quick Access Toolbar from the context menu

In the dialog box that appears, where it says Popular Commands, click the dropdown and select All Commands.

Then, type “S” to quickly jump to commands starting with that letter (or you can scroll down manually). Scroll down until you find Share Workbook (Legacy). Select it, click Add, and then hit OK to confirm.

As shown below, the Share Workbook (Legacy) button will now appear on your Quick Access Toolbar, allowing you to use this older sharing method whenever you need it.
