Convert Date to Value
The Date-Value Function allows you to tell Excel or force Excel to convert a cell that it doesn’t see as a date to a date. The net result is a convert date to value which can then be used in normal date calculations.
For example, here we have some dates which Excel is not recognizing as dates. I can use the Date-Value. Click on the Function Wizard and click on the category date and time -, here you highlight datevalue and if you read this function it says “converts a date in the form of text to a number that represents the date in Microsoft Office Excel date-time code”. All you have to do here is point to the correct cell and you’ll see that Excel immediately puts it normal number down , click ok and you’ll see its now represented as a proper date and all you need to do is copy it down.
